"Studying English in Port Douglas for 4 weeks has been a real fulfilling experience for me. Indeed, the English Language Centre has allowed, not only to clearly improve my English level thanks to pleasant and fit lessons, but also to live a total immersion downunder with a very friendly homestay. 
Moreover, you can take advantage of Port Douglas tremendous location (great barrier reef, tropical rainforest, ...) and a lot of terrific activities (microlite, scubadiving, sailing cruises, ...). But definetely, which make special this school are David and Sveta, teachers who will do their best for you to be comfortable, happy and enjoying your stay, whatever your English level is. I had little experience of english schools myself, but enough to realize what it was most of the time : twenty pupils per class, part time teachers who couldn't care less about their students, with no qualification for some, and who only saw interest in the money they could get.
Surprisingly enough, nothing of that exists within the walls of the language school of Sveta and David in Port Douglas. I don't know whom of Sveta or Port Douglas brought first the peacefulness of these premises, but it is really the best place to study english in a fully relaxed way and yet very efficiently. Compared to the abovementioned schools : we are 2 to 4 maximum in class; teachers have english diplomas (master...), and we can really feel it in their teaching; and all the love, affection and true caring they gave you does not seem to be in any possible way linked with money.

Finally, all I can say is that if you want to study english while you're on holiday, this is "the place to be". (And it's apparently efficient : coming back home, I was among the best students in English of my class, which has a few bilingual people)."
